Fahad Musana, a Chelsea fan from Uganda was reportedly watching the Manchester City Vs Chelsea match in a video hall in Uganda, and collapsed when Lampard scored late to make it 1-1
His friends rushed him to hospital but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Musana was a professional footballer himself for Simba FC in the Ugandan Premier League.
The Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has now also confirmed Musana’s death in a statement: “Fufa is in shock after receiving news about the sudden death of Simba FC player Musana Fahad in Bombo this evening.”
“The body is currently at the Bombo Barracks Hospital. Burial arrangements will be communicated later”
Gerald Bagolo a close friend of the deseased Musana explained just how much Chelsea meant to Musanan: “He has been a passionate fan of Chelsea and would do anything for the club.
“We trained with him on Sunday morning, had lunch together.”
His coach at Simba FC, Fred Kajoba, added, “He even trained with us at the Bombo military Baracks stadium in the morning of the fateful incident and completed the session well.”
Simba FC were due to play a match on Tuesday but that match has now been postponed due Musana’s shock death
