After all the hype and negotiations, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are set to do battle on the 2nd of May at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Mayweather and pacquiao have been talking up this fight for years and after Mayweather defeated Oscar De La Hoya in 2007, Pacquiao was the only mountain left in the career of the legendary Mayweather who is undefeated in 47 bouts. Pacquiao has 57 wins and 2 draws from 64 bouts and is considered one of the greatest boxers of this generation. Mayweather would put his WBC and WBA welterweight titles on the line and Pacquiao’s WBO welterweight title would be on line when the two diminutive juggernauts clash in Las Vagas in May.
The Mayweather Pacquiao fight is set to gross over two hundred and fifty million dollars and is set to shatter the pay per view sales all over the world and both fighters are excited to be in the match. Mayweather announced on his website, saying “What the world has been waiting for has arrived. Mayweather vs Pacquiao on May 2, 2015, is a done deal. And Pacquiao was quoted saying “This will be the biggest event in the history of the sport. Boxing fans and sports fans around the world will witness greatness on May 2. I am very happy that Floyd Mayweather and I can give the fans the fight they have wanted for so many years”.
