Reading produced a good display against giant killers, Bradford who had a man sent off as Reading put three goals past Bradford in their FA Cup quarterfinal replay.
Reading were on top of the game which was very physical from the word go as they created chances and looked a threat going forward especially with aerial balls and in the 6th minute, Robson-Kanu made it 1-0 as he nodded in McCleary’s cross. Three minutes later, Reading were 2-0 up as McCleary’s shot deflected off a Bradford defender and looped over the keeper into the net. The second half was more intense than the first and Morais was sent off on the hour for a rather rash challenge with a high boot. Mackie put the result beyond doubt in the 68th minute as he ran onto Chalobah’s through ball before firing the ball in through the goalkeeper’s legs. Yakubu Ayegbeni came off the bench for Reading in the 88th minute but barely has a touch of the ball.
Reading would now face Arsenal in the semifinal of the FA Cup
