DFB president Wolfgang Niersbach reported yeerday that during the German national team’s celebrations in Berlin, the World cup trophy was damaged. Niersbach  claims only a little part of the trophy was chipped of as it supposedly fell off the hands of a player/staff during the celebrations. Niersbach also stated that the incidence had been investigated with no conclusive result.

Luckily for the Germans, the tropy they damaged is only a replica given to winners by FIFA or else,DFB would have been out 10 million euros.
