The construction of the worlds most powerful rockets designed to take astronauts to Mars has been approved by NASA.
The space launch system (space launch system) which cost $7bn (4.2bn pounds) is scheduled to go for a test launch in Nov 2018 and will take humans to the red planet for the first time by the 2030s.
The SLS will have a lift capacity of up to 143 tonnes which means it can travel deep into the solar system. Approval for the funding was made possible after a smaller model of the rocket passed an internal review.
