Live! With Kelly and Michael host Michael Strahan and fiance Nicole Murphy have split.

According to a statement by Strahan’s reps, the couple’s hectic work schedule and distance away from each other was the primary reason for the split.

The VH1 star and retired NFL player began dating in 2007. In May 2009, Strahan, 42, popped the question to the 46-year-old model on a beach in the Bahamas with a canary yellow and white diamond ring.

News of the couple’s split comes just one day before Strahan will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
