MK Dons added to Manchester United’s misery earlier this evening, thrashing the Old Trafford outfit 4-0 in the Capital One cup.

ManU started off as the brighter of the two teams but they were pegged back in the 23rd minute when Johnny Evans, terrible pass was intercepted by Reeves, who slid the ball onto  Grigg who finished beautifully. In the second half, Manchester United made a match of  the contest but Reeves chested the finish in the 63rd minute and shattered Manchester United’s confidence. Ten minutes later, it was 3-0 as substitute as Benik Afobe finished from inside the box. In the 84th minute, Vermijl made another high profile mistake, misjudging the flight of a high ball and allowing Afobe power the ball in to make it 4-0

The gloating of Manchester United fans over the signing of Di Maria and getting their season back on track lasted about one hour as MK Dons brought them right back to earth.
