Jose Mourinho has named Bastian Schweinsteiger in his 25-man squad for the execution of the 2016/17 Premier League season.
The 32-year-old who was told he could leave the club by the Portuguese manager and was forced to train with the second team, was shortlisted in the Manchester United 25-man squad.

The former German Captain refused a loan move away from Old Trafford to Sporting Lisbon as he reiterated his desire to stay with United and fight for a place in Mourinho’s team.

However, Mourinho last week said that it would be “very difficult” but not impossible for the German to feature under his management for the Red devils this season.
Schweinsteiger bidded an emotional farewell to his international career as he featured in a friendly match for Germany against Finland played on Tuesday on August 31.
Schweinsteiger will no longer be playing for the German national team
The former Bayern Munich midfielder made his debut in 2004 playing 121 matches with 24 goals and was a member of the World Cup winning squad in 2014.
