R&B singer, Chris Brown notched up seven nominations, including best R&B/soul male artist and song of the year for “Loyal.” Beyonce earned herself six nominations and Pharrell Williams followed with five.
Beyonce and Williams will be competing against each other for album of the year, along with John Legend, Drake, Janelle Monae and Michael Jackson.
The Soul Train Awards which is hosted by Wendy Williams will be presented on Nov. 7 in Las Vegas.
“As a longtime lover of R&B and hip-hop, I am beyond excited to host this year’s Soul Train Awards on Centric,” Williams said. “It is an honor to be a part of the biggest night in music and highlight the achievements of both legends and rising talent.” She Said.
The awards will air on Nov. 30 on Centric and BET
