A restaurant in Chelsea has created world’s most expensive burger, costing £1,100.

I thought we’d reached peak burger sillines a couple of weeks ago with the ‘human flesh’ burger, but I can admit when I’m wrong, and I was wrong. THIS is peak burger silliness; the £1,100 burger.
This creation, which takes conspicuous consumption to a whole new level, is the product of the kitchen of Honky Tonk, an American inspired bar and restaurant in Chelsea. It apparently took Head Chef, Chris Large, 3 weeks to perfect the burger.
This all begs the question; what exactly goes into a burger that costs more than most people’s rent?
– A Kobe Wagyu beef and New Zealand venison burger
– Canadian Lobster
– Black truffle brie
– Iranian saffron
– Mango and Champagne jus
– Gold leaf coated bun
Chips are extra.
The burger is, surprise, surprise, a PR stunt by Groupon who are celebrating the sale of their five millionth food and drink voucher. They are running a competition on their site where you can win the chance to eat this burger for free.
