Sharon Dilworth, a South African living in California for the past 22 years, recently uploaded a video talking about what Twitter dubbed the ‘most fashionable’ candidate at this year’s State of The Nation Adress (SONA).
Sharon works in retail and posts parody videos (sometimes in Afrikaans) and other videos on her Facebook page.
This time, she decided to address ANC MEC Vatiswa Bam-Mugwanya who became famous after a still from an ENCA broadcast was snapped of her in Parliamentary glam relaxing in the chamber, reports MemeBurn.
The photo quickly went viral when TV personality Lelo Boyana tweeted this photo of Bam-Mugwanya:
And Sharon has a few things to say:
“Today I’m going to show you my South African roots. And I think this is quite nice.
“I think I will be in every newspaper and on every news broadcast with this outfit…because this is truly ‘what we are made of’.
“And I thought, people shouldn’t be ashamed of their heritage. But when I walked down the stairs, and my dogs saw me, it looked like they were embarrassed.
“Have you ever seen an embarrassed dog? Well, that’s how they looked at me.
“My dog just looked at me like that…thinking ‘what the f*ck are you doing?’
“And that’s my question today: How can anyone think it is alright to walk out the door dressed like this? Who told you that it looks good? Unless you dressed yourself… but if you actually paid somebody…uh-uh, they must be fired.”
