In a statement signed by JNF’s chairman, Mr. Lanre Afoloyanka, the group revealed that as an organization that promotes good-governance, president Buhari’s visit only affirms the pass mark it conferred on the administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in terms of Education.
“No doubt, the administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has performed creditably well in terms of providing quality educational infrastructure for the people of the state. The governor has laid a solid foundation,” the group said.
It continued, “No society can prosper beyond its level of education. Despite the cash crunch in the entire country, Mr. Governor has managed to stay afloat and completed some of the state projects in record time. We also take this time to appreciate and celebrate all citizens of Osun for this auspicious occasion on the 25 years silver jubilee celebrations.
However, the group stated it has discovered a sinister plot by a two-man gang to disrupt activities during the official one day visit by president Muhammudu Buhari to the land of virtue.
The JNF president stated that ‘Our sources within their ranks revealed the organization is being sponsored by a certain opposition element from the ile – ife area of the state.
